Paul
Robinson first played with Nina Simone at Ronnie Scotts club, London
in 1984. The first 2 weeks included Nina’s brother, Sam Waymon, the
following 3 weeks the "band" became just Paul and Nina. Here they recorded
"Nina Simone Live at Ronnie Scotts", plus
the video. From then on, Paul became Nina’s permanent drummer touring
with her worldwide. During this time he also maintained a busy recording
schedule in London as a session musician, playing on records for, Van
Morrison, Paul McCartney, Rod Stewart, The Art of Noise and many others,
plus film soundtracks and countless TV and radio jingles. Paul is currently
writing with Brian May (guitarist from Queen), on a 4 part film for
TV.
