Javier Collados, born
in Paris, France in 1974 to a family of Spanish imigrants.
During his early years at home he was exposed to a Spanish
music vibe by his parents. At 14 he discovered the music of
Jimi Hendrix and Steve Vai, this inspired him to play the
guitar. He took the guitar very seriously and his talent caught
the ear of Alexis Toussaint, one of the most inspired guitarts
in Paris, who offered to become his teacher.

By the
age of 20 Javier had his first professional experience performing
in public with Tyrone Downie of the group BOB MARLEY &
THE WAILERS. Tyrone became a good friend and also his spiritual
mentor, teaching him about " ROOTS " music. He also got him
involved with composing music and had him participate in many
recording sessions. Around this time Javier also started to
take interest in other instruments in parrticular the bass
guitar and electronic keyboards.

Living
in Paris Javier had lots of opprtunity to meet and work with
many talented American artists. Not only did he work as a
musician but after he befriended and started to work for MARLA
GLEN, an American artists imensley popular in parts of Europe,
he found himself becomeing also involved with the business
side of music.

Through his work with
Marla Glen he met Dr. NINA SIMONE and went to work for her.
Over the years he has held various positions with her and
has also during this time had the opportunity to show her
his varied artistic talents. Dr. Simone is now giving Javier
the opportunity to join in and participate on stage as a member
of the Band.
